Sunday

Today has already been more productive than all of yesterday and it's only 10:30am! I woke up early, thanks to the time change, well-rested and energized. I took a 30 minute walk around the block. It would have been longer if I had actually worn my watch and had a clue how long I was out there. Then I did 30 minutes on Wii Fit- yoga, stretching, balance, and my old favorite, the hoola hoop. I hadn't been on my Wii Fit in over 200 days, as the angry little scale told me as it lectured me about how long it had been. I was inspired to jump back on by one of the hundreds of blogs I read last night- someone had challenged herself to do yoga for all 31 days in October. Not only did she succeed, but she really talked about the improvements she felt (more limber, stronger, more energy, etc.). I think I need to challenge myself in someway and this blog can be a support and an accountability system for me. Right now, all I feel ready to co mitt to is to aim for 10,000 steps on my pedometer EVERY DAY. Since this is the first day of a new month, I feel that this is a good first challenge for me to move towards a healthier lifestyle. Here I go (4,355 steps so far today)...
