Confessions

I must confess... although my first day not reaching my 10,000 step goal was not a "setback", the following days seemed to be. The week slowly spiraled down into a lot more time spent working and a lot less walking (much less real exercising). I will now confess/ record the total steps I took each day since last Sunday when I set the goal:
Sunday-8,055
Monday-10,383
Tuesday-11,072
Wednesday-4,219
Thursday-4,548
Friday-3,120
Saturday-7,791

When I average all that out, it seems that I took 7,027 steps per day on average throughout the week. Maybe a more realistic goal is to beat that weekly average. I cannot control the fact that I often have long work days, and that I have to spent over an hour in the car commuting every day, but I can make better choices on the shorter, better days. My goal for this week is to end up with a daily step average for the week that is more than 7,027. Today I did go for a nice walk before many errands around town and I currently have 9,510 steps, and I have a few more waking hours to get in some more. I feel confident that I can attain this goal this week. I feel confident, also, that I have the power to make good choices for my health every day.
